We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Safety Specialist with gas transmission experience to join our team.
This role is 100% travel, daily truck pay, and per diem is offered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of gas transmission pipelines, facilities, and equipment.
- Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety issues.
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulations related to gas transmission safety.
- Develop emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills and exercises.
- Travel extensively to various gas transmission sites in Georgia and Kentucky.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas transmission pipeline safety.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g. OSHA, PHMSA).
- Strong understanding of gas transmission operations and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Prior experience with emergency response and incident investigation is a plus.
