Performs independent quality reviews of engineering drawings and project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with company standards before release. This role serves as a critical quality assurance function supporting engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify dimensions, notes, symbols, and drawing references.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards and drafting practices.
- Identify inconsistencies between plans, specifications, and calculations.
- Verify revisions have been properly incorporated.
- Review material callouts and bill of material accuracy.
- Coordinate comments with engineering and design personnel.
- Maintain drawing review logs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure documentation is ready for client review and construction release.
- Assist with document turnover and project closeout.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or equivalent drafting experience.
- Minimum 3 years reviewing engineering drawings.
- Preferred Experience
- EPC, industrial, manufacturing, or data center projects.
Technical Skills:
- AutoCAD.
- Bluebeam Revu.
- Microsoft Office.
- Physical Requirements.
- Office environment with occasional field visits.
